STUART HAMILL RECEIVES FIRST
'KEEPING THE BALL ROLLING' AWARD
I am truly honored to have received the ‘Keeping the
Ball Rolling’ Service Award 2011 from the Utah Ulster
Project. For me, the Ulster Project was much more than
just hanging out with Northern Irish and Utah teens. It
immersed me into a new way of problem solving and
unbiased thinking. As a past teen participant, it was
amazing how 24 strangers from different backgrounds
came together, barriers were broken down and we became
best of friends. I was given the chance to go to Northern
Ireland this summer. I can truly say without a doubt
that the Ulster Project is changing lives in Northern
Ireland. But I also saw that there is still work to be done
so that tensions do not take the country back to the terrible
times of the past.
Les and the Utah Ulster Project Board are a one of a kind
organization. With all their hard work and dedication they
are helping to make a difference and are giving Northern
Irish and Utah teens the most awesome life changing
experiences. Because the Utah Ulster Project had such an
impact on my life, it has made me want to give back and
support them in any little way that I can. I look forward to
continuing my support to the Utah Ulster Project and hope
to become a counselor someday. Thank you again for this
award!!!!!
Sincerely,
Stuart T. Hamill
